We are a group of scholars, scientists, educators and researchers from different countries across Europe, with a shared interest and passion for advancing the field of interprofessional science, defined as:
a scientific field of study devoted to advancing pedagogies, applied processes and research methods to promote uptake and evaluation of interprofessional collaborative approaches in health and social care education, practice and research; contributing to patient-centered, quality, safe, sustainable and resilient health systems.1

- We believe in capacity building and professional development of current and new generations of interprofessional scientists.
- We seek to organise and deliver summer schools for PhD students working on interprofessional topics.
- We can offer mentorship and support for aspiring scholars in the field of interprofessional science.
- We encourage student and staff mobility across institutions and countries, with a view to capitalising on knowledge and experience sharing.
Through these activities we seek to strengthen health care quality and safety across the wider European region.

The group was founded in 2016 by Professor Scott Reeves, in London, to foster and promote collaboration among different countries and professions with a view to advancing research in the space of interprofessional healthcare. Academy founding members: Scott Reeves, Cornelia Mahler, Marion Huber, Maria Kvarnström, Maria Mischo-Kelling, Simon Fletcher, Fleming Jacobsen.
